“What Does Picnic Day Mean To You?"
UC Davis Picnic Day initiates a campus and city-wide photo campaign
Davis, California – Picnic Day is coming up, so what better way to prepare for this exciting event than to have your own photo seen by thousands of people and visitors all across campus? To kick off this year’s 99th annual celebration, UC Davis Picnic Day is thrilled to announce the launch of the Snapshot Photo Experience Campaign where students and faculty, and residents of the UC Davis community are invited to share and see photos of “What Picnic Day Means to You?”
This campus-wide campaign will run from early March up until the week of mid-April where the photos will be compiled in a collage that can be viewed on Picnic Day at the Memorial Union, the ARC, and the Student Community Center.
Photo submissions are being taken from February 28 to March 15, and people of all ages are strongly encouraged to email their entries of “What Picnic Day Means To You?” in a single, high-quality JPEG image to specialevents@picnicday.ucdavis.edu or by delivering a 4x6 non-returnable photo by hand to the Picnic Day office at 349 Memorial Union.
The 99th Annual Picnic Day will be held on April 20th, 2013 from 9:30am-5pm. Picnic Day is UC Davis’s open house, showcasing over 200 exhibits, entertainment, student organization booths, animal events, and other special events. Visit the website at picnicday.ucdavis.edu for more information.
